Aditya Birla Capital has posted 10% increase in net profit to Rs 835.08 crore in Q1FY2026 over Q1FY2025. The income from operation increased 10% to Rs 9502.69 crore in Q1FY2026.
The revenue from NBFC increased 13% to Rs 4003.52 crore and Life Insurance 2% to Rs 4501.06 crore, while the revenue from Health Insurance moved up 31% to Rs 1291.73 crore, and Housing Finance 65% to Rs 893.48 crore. The revenue from Asset Management also jumped 17% to Rs 564.58 crore. However, the revenue from Stock & Securities Broking declined 6% to Rs 112.71 crore, and Other Financial Services dipped 49% to Rs 50.64 crore in Q1FY2026. The PBT from NBFC increased 11% to Rs 925.49 crore and Asset Management 22% to Rs 372.28 crore, while the PBT from Housing Finance moved up 82% to Rs 154.10 crore and Life Insurance 80% to Rs 38.64 crore in Q1FY2026. The PBT from Stock & Securities Broking declined 8% to Rs 20.56 crore, while Other Financial Services segment posted PBT loss of Rs 67.81 crore and Health Insurance also posted PBT loss of Rs 37.16 crore in Q1FY2026. Overall OPM jumped to 40.52% in Q1FY2026 from 36.95% in Q1FY2025, as other expenditure as a percentage of net sales dipped to 49.78% from 53.78%. However, the provisions rose to 4.51% from 4.36% in Q1FY2025. The staff cost as a percentage of net sales also moved up to 5.19% from 4.91% in Q1FY2025. Interest cost increased 22% to Rs 2736.19 crore. Depreciation was up 31% to Rs 71.29 crore. PBT increased 10% to Rs 1071.01 crore in the quarter ended June 2025. The effective tax rate increased to 30.6% from 29.2%. There was loss attributable to non-controlling interest of Rs 15.69 crore in Q1FY2026 compared with Rs 20.4 in Q1FY2025. The share of profit from associates jumped 32% to Rs 107.38 crore. Net Profit, increased 10% to Rs 835.08 crore in the quarter ended June 2025.Book value of the company stood at Rs 119.6 per share, while adjusted book value (net of Net Stage 3 assets and 10% of restructured loans) stood at 112.5 per share end June 2025.
Business highlights
The overall lending portfolio (NBFC and HFC) grew by 30% yoy and 5% sequentially to Rs 165832 crore at end June 2025. The total AUM (AMC, life insurance and health insurance) grew by 20% yoy to Rs 553504 crore at end June 2025. The life insurance individual first year premium grew by 23% yoy to Rs 795 crore and health insurance gross written premium grew by 30% yoy to Rs 1357 crore. The Company's D2C platform, ABCD offers a comprehensive portfolio of more than 25 products and services such as payments, loans, insurance, and investments. The platform has witnessed a strong response with about 6.4 million customer acquisitions till date. The Company also continues to expand its pan-India network with 67 new branches added taking the total branch count across all businesses to Rs 1690 at end June 2025.NBFC business

For the year ended March 2024 (FY2025), the consolidated net revenue of the company increased 21% to Rs 40360.07 crore. The revenue in NBFC segment moved up 16% to Rs 14788.96 crore, Housing Finance 45% to Rs 2655.18 crore, Life Insurance 21% to Rs 22052.18 crore and Asset Management 21% to Rs 1982.29 crore. Further, the revenues from Stock & Securities Broking increased 15% to Rs 453.14 crore and Health Insurance 34% to Rs 4635.28 crore. The revenue from Other Financial Services declined -3% to Rs 859.85 crore in FY2025 over FY2024. The interest cost increased 27% to Rs 9694.18 crore, while depreciation moved up 31% to Rs 246.20 crore, while PBT jumped 12% to Rs 4224.13 crore in FY2025.
